possible to block someone’s link?

    I have discovered that someone from a rather… um… inappropriate site has a link to one of my blogs…

    The question is, is it possible to block links from that person’s page, or will I have to contact that person myself and ask them to remove the link from their page?

    i think you have to ask him yourself, and he doesn’t i don’t think you can do anything about it.

    I’m always of the mind “who cares who links to me?”. I would delete and pingbacks/trackbacks, and maybe turn off comments on that post though.

    You can do it with the wordpress software for a blog hosted elsewhere. Actually you can do it with any website where you had access to the website files. We don’t have that level of access though here so there’s no real method here at wp.com.

    I always think of it as trying to control what people I don’t know say about me: think about it that way and it will quickly become apparent that you can’t. But let me reassure you that it can help your googlejuice and technorati ranking nonetheless, so I’d let it ride.

    In the schoolyard you could never control people running around saying “tintangos sez bobo is a twit” and you can’t control people on the Internet any better. Let it roll off your back and take the benefits.

    Gotta admit that I’ve been sorely tempted to link to some folks sites with things like ‘child molester’, ‘moron’, and the like. Then I remember that, as rain says, it would just increase their own Google PRs and would be easy to find anyway.
