Possibly Related Blogs

  1. I was hoping that the Possibly Related Blogs that appears underneath each of my blogs would be helpful in finding interesting blogs... however, I find that these blogs are nothing to do with what I've written about, not even in the slightest. Surely this isn't right?

The blog I need help with is bearanddog.wordpress.com.

  2. I'm not sure what is looked at to come up with those recommendations. I expect tags, categories and title, but I don't know if they scan the post for key words or phrases or not.

I've seen a number of blogs with very relevant links, and some that weren't.

  3. I can tell you: they scan the content. I posted an interview with John Lennon, who said "mate" a lot as he was from Liverpool, and all the Related Links were to dating articles.

I turned it off. Do that under Appearance->Extras.

  4. I can't even see it scanning the content, the whole entry was about games day and warhammer, etc... nothing like that came up what so ever. Seriously think they need a better system. It would work better if it went on tags.

Either way, thanks so much for your help guys, I do appreciate it!
