Options for an archive Page here on WordPress.com are described in this Support doc: http://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/ which I found by searching on the word "archive". HTH

I have just tried the shortcode trick and it works as far as the drop down list display in a Text widget is concerned. But still, the items displayed are not in alphabetical order! Any help?
