Post Deleted Accidently :(

  1. Help! I just spent a couple of hours writing a post, and inadvertently deleted it. Is there any way to find it? Can I restore it?

  2. I'm dumb.

  3. Yes - do nothing, touch nothing and hang in. I'll be back in a second with a link.

  4. Thank you for your help, "this time," but closely reading that link, I believe it says posts or comments cannot be retrieved. I was just hoping someone might know another trick or something. Anyway, I've begun rewriting it. Sad thing.

  5. RATS! I'm sorry it didn't help. If you have a windows OS I recommend that you use ctrl c to save and backup each and every post you write. Also note that if you use an offline editor like Windows Live Writer or BlogDesk you will have backup copies you can rely on. Will you please mark this thread "resolved".

  6. "This Time," when I used Windows OS, I used BlogDesk. A couple of months ago, I bought a MacBook, and thus far, I haven't located such a site for Macs.

I really am sick about deleting that post. The post was published and looked fine, then I saw listed a post with the name that I had at first chosen for the lost post. I had changed names, though, and had published under the new name. So...I deleted the post with the old name...when I did...all was gone. I'm close to having it rewritten, however.

Thank you again for your efforts.

    ps Your avatar is beautiful.

  7. Thanks for the compliment re: the avatar. I know that Qumana can be used with macs http://www.iconnectdots.com/ctd/2006/05/qumanaoffline_b.html and I think that Bloggar may be an offline editor you can use with a mac too.

  10. Good night and sleep well. :)
