Post doesn't appear in Reader tags

    I've noticed for some time now that several of my posts do not appear in the Reader tags, though it will appear under 'Blogs I Follow' in the Reader. For instance I tag a post 'beauty,' go to the beauty tag in the wordpress Reader and it is not there. It does not appear even after refreshing or logging in then out. This has happened with live and scheduled posts. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know why this happens?

    The blog I need help with is naturespulchritude.wordpress.com.

  2. All reasons for non-appearance of posts on Topics pages can be found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts

    As you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts, you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal of the excess categories and/or tags note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.

    You are inadvertently spamdexing AKA tag spamming. And, you ought to be more concerned about your posts not appearing and being well ranked on Google and Bing SERPS (search results pages) than not appearing on the WordPress.com Topics pages because it's search engines that send a significant flow of traffic to blogs and they can choose to bury your content where the sun don't shine for tag spamming.

    The rule of thumb is to assign the least, not the most, combined number of only relevant categories and tags that accurately describe the post content.

    Today I discovered where you can search tags in the reader. When I tried some of my own tags my posts aren't included. I read this article just now http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts and as far as I can see I have no issues there. Any tips or information great5ly appreciated. My blog is travellingmacs.wordpress.com
    Thank you in anticipation.

    Thanks @timetheif! Some of my posts indeed had more than 15 tags--my intent was not to spam! I am going through my posts and cutting down on the tags. Thank you again! :)

    You're welcome. Spamdexing is a very common beginner mistake. Not to worry as after your remove the excess Tags?categories your posts will display on the Reader and on the Topics (categories/Tags) pages.

    Thanks , I have the thread subscribed to for follow up replies. Appreciate your help in getting staff follow up. I'm keen to get my posts and tags in search :)

  8. Okay but it's in your best interest not to post into this thread again as it's been tagged for Staff. Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected. If you keep posting then the timestamp moves forward and it takes longer to get help.

    @naturespulchritude-

    I was able to search your most recent post in the WordPress.com Reader as seen here using the climate change tag:
