   Hi,

   I need to:

   a) get an xml feed from posts' excerpts (instead of using the standard rss feed xml)
   b) publish the feed on my site's (which doesn't run on wordpress) homepage

   If I were to publish content from the standard rss feed on my homepage I would be having similar content on my blog and on my site. The idea is to publish original content (the excerpts) on my site's homepage.

   My blog will live on blog.site.com

   Also, how can avoid search engines from indexing excerpts, so they will only appear on my homepage as described further above?

   Please read this entry WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org as it clearly states the differences between free hosted WordPress.com blogs and WordPress.org installs for self hosting.

   I'm sorry, ours is a self hosted blog, should I ask in a different forum? I'm sorry I don't want to waste your time.
