post isn't showing up

  1. hello, i'm new to this and so far it seams pretty complicated. I've just posted my first blog - am image with text underneath but this isn't showing up on the page unless you specifically click on the title in the menue on the right hand side. I want my most recent post to be up on the page automatically...help?

  2. You chose a newer theme that displays only excerpts on the front page. The old ones display whole posts. The good news is that there's a workaround you can use.

Please read the theme description here > http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/origin/
The Origin theme is behaving exactly the way it is designed to behave, which is excerpts only on the front page of the blog but Origin does have an active excerpt box below the post editor, so you can control the length of the excerpt displayed. This is the workaround you can use to override excerpt display on the front page.

You compose your whole post first and before you publish it you switch to the HTML (Text) editor, copy the code, paste it into the Excerpt box, and publish the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts This will have to be done on every post.

  3. ah i see. too much fuss for me, have just swapped themes but thank you for the help, i really appreciate it.
