Post Layout, need some help

  1. I would like my posts to go in reverse order on my Posts page (First post on top, newest on bottom). I would also like it if you had to click on the actual link for the post to read it, instead of it all being on one REALLY long page.

Can anyone help me set this up on my page?

The blog I need help with is dashryan.wordpress.com.

  2. Blogs are essentially a reverse chronological order publishing tool and you cannot change this order on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. Posts will be posted to your blog in accord with their datestamps at publication. WordPress by default shows posts in reverse chronological order (newest post on top). For returning visitors, this is very convenient since they can see the latest post without having to page down through page after page of hundreds of posts they have already read. See here for the option of creating a book-like structure > http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ Perhaps that will work for you.

  3. I would also like it if you had to click on the actual link for the post to read it, instead of it all being on one REALLY long page.

There are several ways of splitting content. The most commonly used one is inserting "the more tag" into posts so only excerpts appear on the front page.

  4. You can also use the archives shortcode to generate a list, or index, of all of your posts:

  5. You guys rock, thanks for the help.

  6. You're welcome from me.
