Post not showing on gloabl wordpress tags pages

    Hi,

    I just published this post: http://hookedinamsterdam.wordpress.com/2008/01/25/last-nights-dinner-easy-peasy/ and it doesn't seem to be appearing on any of the global tag pages. (the tags on the entry are: chef, cod, cookbooks, cooking, dinner, easy dinner, famous chefs, fish, Food, French beans, jamie oliver, one pot meal, pancetta, recipe, recipes, tasty)

    I have checked my privacy settings (from reading past questions/answers) and they have not changed and are set correctly to allow posting to show in all search engines, etc.

    I even deleted the posting and re-published it but it's still doesn't appear to show in the global tag pages.

    Old postings do appear to still be active & shown.

    Even though my blog is FAR from it (and it's laughable really), could I possibly be tagged as mature since the posting has the word 'naked' in it? The entry is a recipe from the famous chef Jamie Oliver's cookbook, The Naked Chef Takes Off.

    The global tag problem has been an issue for many for several days and I believe staff is aware of it. Still, you might want to contact support when they open, as there's nothing we volunteers can do on the technical end.

    About mature - you can do it yourself by reporting your blog as mature with the button in the top right of your browser. However -- that will take you out of the global tags. And frankly, I don't think -- and this is just my opinion -- using the term Naked Chef warrants that. A photo of a naked chef might be another matter.

    I think you have just a few too many tags + categories - drop to 12 and resave?

    Also having the same problem. Posts for the past 3 or 4 days are not showing up. This isn't a private blog and it hasn't been set that way ever. Everything is set correctly. Pure public. Also, I've noticed a weird number keeps showing up for a category.

    Correction: Posts showed a day ago. So, posts from last night and this morning are not showing Wordpress tag pages. Also to mention, I don't have too many tags or categories. About that weird number that keeps showing up for a category... This started yesterday and no matter how many times I delete it, it comes back. On Manage, Category, it is on the top-- ID 4346897 Name 38508

    Something fishy is going on with my photoblog...

    Hi again.

    Sorry for the delay. I have limited my tags to a total of 12 and the post still doesn't appear to be showing up. (they are cod, cookbooks, cooking, dinner, easy dinner, famous chefs, fish, Food, jamie oliver, one pot meal, recipe, recipes).

    1) Should the total number of categories AND tags NOT exceed 12? Or just tags?
    and
    2) Is the 12 tag thing a new limit? Previous posts with a total # of tags past 12 have been posted and appeared on global tags pages with no issues.

    Now I have limited my tags PLUS categories to a total number of 12 and the post still is not appearing. Any other ideas?

    The 12 limit has been in place for some time.

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for the reply. Do you know exactly when has this limit what put in place? I'm puzzled, not because I didn't know (I didn't but I do now :-)), but because almost every post I have is over the limit and this is the first time I have noticed an issue.

    I have posts that clearly are over that limit that are showing alright in the global tags pages. For instance one just posted yesterday: http://hookedinamsterdam.wordpress.com/2008/01/24/cool-acoustic-podcast/. And another posted Jan 20th http://hookedinamsterdam.wordpress.com/2008/01/20/every-girls-needs-at-least-one-pair-probably-two/.

    Also, are you able to answer the question about if the limit is 12 tags ONLY or 12 personal categories PLUS tags for a grand total of 12?

    And, any other ideas why if I've made the changes recommended the post still wouldn't show?

    My posts have not been showing up consistently. Some go through, but others don't. This has been going on for a month. I have posted for help several times. Generally, it seems to *self correct?* within a short amount of time, but days later, it begins again.

    I didn't get a formal email back from my support ticket indicating this issue was fixed, but I did see the sticky post from tellyworth that said it was indeed corrected.

    I deleted my posting and re-published it and it does appear to be working.
