   First let me say that I am still very, very new to wordpress so please excuse my wp illiteracy if I may cause some confusion, but I will try to explain this as best as I can. First, please take a look at this image:

   #1 - As I add each new post, I want it to display in this section FIRST.
   #2 & #3 - As I continue to add more posts, the posts that were originally #1 will now be moved to slot two. As I keep creating new posts, they will all start at #1, and slowly work their way over to slot #2 & #3, and eventually down to 4,5,6, and 7 (keep in mind the thumbnail size for the posts changes).

   Still confused?

   I basically want each new post that I add to display in the order that I numbered each post. I even drew a blue line to help show the direction I want the posts to move in as I continue to update and add new posts. Say on Monday I made a post about Politics. The Politics post would be shown where you see #1. On Tuesday I made a post about Cooking. The cooking post will be moved to #1, and Politics will be moved and (the thumbnail) scaled down so that it all can display in #2. On Wednesday I make a post about Cars and the car post is moved to #1 spot, Cooking is now moved to slot #2, and my Politics post is now moved to #3. On Thursday I make a post about Astronomy and that post is moved to #1, Cars is moved to #2, Cooking is moved to #3, and Politics is moved to #4. This will continue all the way to post number 7. Hopefully that helped you understand what I am trying to do here, and again, I apologize if I am not describing this as best as I can.

   So far tutorials via google and youtube have been a great resource for helping me, as well as this forum but unfortunately i have been unsuccessful trying to figure out if trying to do this is possible or not. Is it? And if it is possible, are there any plugins, guides, tutorials, videos or something that could help make this easier and/or possible? Thanks in Advance for your help

   My blog is not up at the moment unfortunately. Yes, there will be ads, too but most of the thing in the "ads" section will only have a small few number of adds, most of the things located in that section will be other wp widgets like calendar, top posts, etc.

   If the blog is hosted here at wordpress.COM:

   Advertising is, except for a couple very narrow exceptions, not allowed on wordpress.COM. For the exceptions, see the last sentence under "Affiliate marketing blogs" in the bottom set of bullet points in the "types of blogs link below.

   Is your blog self-hosted on a third-party web host (dreamhost, godaddy, etc.)?

   Then you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ which is where self-hosted blogs are supported.
