post types in Twenty Eleven

  1. Twenty Eleven comes with a bunch of different post types, which affect how Twenty Eleven displays them. Nice. But is there anything else you can do with this post type information, out of the box?

For instance I would like to be able to do something like you can do with putting Categories on menus. I would like to give people the option to take a view of the content which lets them see all posts of a particular type.

I could bodge it manually pro tem by putting in the post type as a category for each type. But it seems like there should be a better way.

Is this something I could do with a CSS upgrade? (I don't currently speak CSS but am cautiously optimistic I could figure it out eventually as I know lots of programming/scripting languages.).

The blog I need help with is insightanalysis.wordpress.com.

  2. There isn't any way to sort by post type that I know of.

You might want to look through this post that Panos did on Duster/Twenty Eleven.

  3. thanks. I've seen Panos' post and without it I wouldn't be using Twenty Eleven at all, I'd still be trying to work out the difference between layouts and templates.... ;-)
