No. The problem is that when Podz or another keymaster says something we shouldn't tag on the end of the post. However, I goofed by not sending Podz a feedback instead of posting to the forum and now we have a parade. Thus the likelihood of the original posting party seeing the DEFINITIVE MESSAGE as opposed to opinions is lowered.
Gawker and Boing Boing aren't selling anything, right? Well suppose you were linking at the end of each of your articles to an advertisement by company selling a product or service (third party). Suppose the only reason you had a free blog here and everywhere else that had free blogs was just for the purpose of drumming up third party business via linking to an advertsiement to purchase a product or service. That would be against the WordPress Terms of Service (ToS). Persisting in doing so can lead to your blog being terminated.

If you put links to the same external sites in posts the that could or would be taken as using the blog to drive traffic to a third-party site. That breaks the ToS.
