Posting from WP to Facebook

  1. Is there a plugin or widget for posting a blog link to facebook automatically?

  2. You can set up Publicize and publish to your Facebook profile page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/

Alternatively you can use Networked Blogs http://www.networkedblogs.com/ or RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer. RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify. You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

You can post a Facebook badge in your sidebar. http://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-badge/

You can also enable sharing buttons on your posts, pages and index pages.
Also note the “like” button. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/

You can have Facebook like & share buttons on your posts.

You can also use the Facebook like box widget found here > Appearance > Widgets

You can use a Twitter widget > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-widget/

You can post a twitter follow button > http://en.support.wordpress.com/twitter-follow-button/

  3. Thank You timethief!!

"Publicize" seems like what I want to do but I don't have a 'sharing' function in my settings menu. I'm updated to the latest WP 3.3.1 - what am I missing?

  4. Publicize is only for free hosted WordPress.com blogs like this one linked to your username http://christiandietz.wordpress.com/ is marked private by its owner.

Many of the Available Services are missing from the selection on the sharing settings page. If your blog is private, you will see fewer number of services listed. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/

If you are referring to a self hosted WordPress.org install then you are posting to thw wrong support forum and need to post to the correct one for your software which is here > http://wordpress.org/support/
