Posts And Their Elements

  1. Well, I've been working a lot in CSS costumization for my site:

    But there're a couple things that I can't solve by now. I'm using Sight theme and my objectives by now are these:

    1. Change the colour of the links inserted in posts on hover. All other links in the site are working and I'm able to change it classes, but the ones you insert normally into posts seem not to be found in anywhere.

    2. Inserting Previews of Posts, as they appear on the main page, inside other pages to make a custom archive system (The default doesn't allow me to modify too much)

    Any help in this way will be fully regarded.

    Thanks for your time

    The blog I need help with is escritouncine.com.

    The Sight theme uses a CSS block like this (except with a different color code) to set the hover color for links:

    a:hover,
    a:focus,
    a:active {
    	color: hotpink;
    }

    You should change "hotpink" to a color code of your choice:

    Note that if any other link hover colors aren't working, it's probably because there's a more specific rule in the theme or the HTML itself that you will have to match to get the color to update.

  3. 2. Inserting Previews of Posts, as they appear on the main page, inside other pages to make a custom archive system (The default doesn't allow me to modify too much)

    You cannot use CSS to generate content that is not there, so this question is more of a theme or a general WordPress.com question than a CSS question.

    Some themes are designed to use excerpts, which you can setup while you are editing a page. The Sight theme is one that uses excerpts. To add one, open a post for editing and look for the "Excerpt" box somewhere on the page. If you don't see it at first, look in the "Screen Options" button at the top right to make sur "Excerpts" is checked. This help page explains excerpts in more detail:

  4. Wait a sec, I might have misread the 2nd request a little (I'm not sure!). To put lists of posts in other pages, what you probably want is the archives shortcode. Check out this page:
