Posts filed under a category do not appear in the Read Blogs topic feed

  1. Just wondering if there is any knack to appearing in the feeds for the Read Blogs areas? I nominate Travel as the category my posts are filed under, yet they don't seem to materialise in http://wordpress.com/#!/read/topic/travel/. Is there any reason why this might not be happening? thank you!

Is this your blog? http://talltales.me/ if so please link it eo your username so we can locate it instantly when you post to the forums. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Please see here for an answer to your global tags > missing posts question Our posts appear on the Tages and Categories pages we assign to them in order of datestamp at the time of pulblication. As there are 35 million of us all over the world the posts fall off the most popular tag pages very quickly.

  4. AND appearing on those pages is no longer guaranteed. Staff randomize it somehow.

  5. Thanks for the responses and the link from raincoaster is really useful. I didn't link my blog as wanted to establish if there were general rules of thumb, so it's good to know what those are and that there may also be an element that I have no control over.
