   Why do my posts get stuck on "saving" or "publishing"?

   This is incredibly irritating. These are short, simple posts, yet once they start saving it's like the spinning circle of purgatory.

   This is my first time using WordPress, but so far I'm regretting not using Blogger instead, due to their expanded (free) customization and quicker interface response.

   What browser and version are you using? Are you using IE in compatibility mode? If so, don't.

   Oooh! I'm using IE 8. I will upgrade/switch and see if that helps.
