Posts not publishing

I can write a post or upload photos successfully today but when I push publish nothing happens - no message either. I was not having a problem a few days ago. I have cleared my browser history but no luck.

  2. What browser and version are you using? Lots of IE9 users are reporting issues.

  3. Which post form are you using?

Try the one on the Dashboard if you haven't already.

I am using the dashboard both the quick post and the regular one. Photos are uploading on the quick one, going to gallery on the other one but neither will publish. I wrote a quick post but that didn't publish either. I don't know how to find out what version of Internet Explorer I am using, I have yahoo as my home page.

  5. I have the same problem. Never had that before, but the last few days I can't publish.

Just switched to Mozilla Firefox and was able to post. Yay!

There's an issue with creating posts on the front page of WordPress.com that will not be fixed until the next upgrade. Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/

Instead I recommend that you ONLY create posts here > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

If you are, please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

If you are not successful let us know which browser (and version of it) you’re using and post any error reports you get.

  8. Further to what tt said above and just to make it clearer, if you run Windows XP, time to upgrade your browsing experience in favor of either FF or Chrome. Support for IE8 is being dropped very soon.
