Posts not showing on next page. HELP!

  1. Hopefully I'll get a response over here, since no one seems to want to help over on wordpress.org.

    I'm using an altered version of the Arthemia premium theme for my blog and I finally got every thing styled to my liking and am just about ready to launch it, however there is a huge problem. When you click to go to the next page, no posts display.

    This is my index.php code:

    <?php get_header(); ?>

    	 <?php
    		//Get value from Admin Panel
    		$cp_categories = get_categories('hide_empty=0');

            $status1 = get_settings( "cp_preventHeadline" );

            if ( $status1 != "No" ) {

            $ar_headline = get_settings( "ar_headline" );
    		$ar_featured = get_settings( "ar_featured" );

            }

            ?>

  2. You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

    This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you'll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

    If you don't understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

    If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It'll help people to answer your question.

    This is an automated message.

  3. This is the wordpress.com support forum.
    The link your provide is not to a wordpress.com blog.
    We provide support only to members of the wordpress.com community who are asking for help with wordpress.com blogs.
    Those with wordpress.org software must post to http://wordpress.org/support/ as we cannot answer their questions here.

  4. Yes, I got that.

    No one here knows how to read code?

  5. Sure some of us do but we don't answer questions posed about wordpress.org for a very important reason. If we did that we would have even more wordpress.org bloggers posting here than those who are posting "undercover" now ... lol :D

  6. That is just fucking ridiculous

  7. Because the forum is for .org and .com, most users here won't be any help. This is why the .org forum was created - so they can be seprate.

    If your not getting a response there, then you won't get one here either.

  8. Really, it is not ridiculous:

    The fact is that most volunteers here at wp.com are not familiar with wp.org software—timethief and some others may be, but most of us are not.

    Our platform is different and what most of us could advise would not apply to what you would be doing. What we can do with our blogs/software is very restricted compared to what you-all with self-hosted blogs can do.

    For example, wp.com bloggers have not access to php…

  9. Arrggghh!
    As you are clicking next page and there is nothing appearing and as a template tag is code that instructs WordPress to "do" or "get" something. perhaps searching the codex, and wordpress.org forum threads is what you ought to be doing. Template tags that need to be inside of the WordPress loop include the_content(), the_excerpt(), next_post(), and previous_post().
