Posts Not Showing up in Tag Pages, even With

  1. When I started blogging, my blog posts were showing up on tag pages. I got a lot of views through these tag pages.

Lately I've been having a problem with my posts not showing up. I think this is because I tagged several posts with too many tags. I found this help page and read the section on "missing posts". I was not aware of the 15 tag limit, and I think I would have appreciated a notification or error message when I went over this limit instead of having to find out about the limit by searching for it.

    But anyway...

The past two posts I've been very careful to use a moderate number of tags with, selecting only the most relevant ones. Both posts have only 9 tags and 1 category.

As an example to show you how the post isn't showing up, my most recent post is: Tea as a Gateway to Food Culture and Slow Food, and it hasn't shown up in any tag pages. For example, it's tagged with "slow food", but hasn't shown up on the slow food tag page. Perhaps more importantly, it never showed up under the tea tag, the most important tag for this post.

If anyone can share any insight into this problem, I would be really grateful. I would really like my posts to show up in the tag pages. I don't update my blog frequently and I put a lot of effort into my posts, and I really appreciate the views and traffic that I got from the older posts appearing on tag pages.

Is there anything I need to do to fix this? Or is there some kind of bug operating here, that someone who works with WordPress can fix behind the scenes?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is teacology.wordpress.com.

  2. I noticed that post is in the category "Original posts". You also have the category "Republished posts."

I don't know how you're republishing them, but if search engines find a blog that has a lot of content that is was published earlier elsewhere, then they will mark it as Spam. The same may be occurring here. If you have published articles elsewhere, the best thing to do is to create a post saying "I've written an amazing piece over here" and link to it.

  3. Any insights? I'm really at a loss on this and I would like to get this resolved. I think it is taking away my motivation to continue writing on this blog, to have this issue continue going unresolved.

  4. All reasons for non-appearance are found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts I'll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.
