Posts - oldest to newest instead of newest to oldest

  1. Hi, wondering if you are able to have posts running from showing oldest first to newest at the bottom of the page? instead of the other way it is with the most recent appearing at the top of the page??

The blog I need help with is beesleyandhughes.wordpress.com.

  2. You can, but it's not easy and readers don't generally like it. Here are the instructions:

Hi raincoaster - I was trying to find out about this recently. Does it work if after publishing posts you change the dates of publication via the editing function?

    Thanks v. much.

  4. After a post is published, NEVER change the date on it because the date is part of the URL for the posts. When that URL is changed, then any links to the old URL at search engines will produce 404 not found errors and the search engines don't like those, nor do visitors coming from search engines.

Many thanks for that piece of invaluable information, thesacredpath. Much appreciated.

  6. You are welcome.
