Posts suddenly not showing up under topics

  1. My posts are not appearing under the topics for the tags and categories I posted under. I did not exceed the 10+ tags + categories limit. THis is very frustrating. I have been having problems with this for a long time, not just since the topics pages have been "re-worked."

The blog I need help with is ourprocess.wordpress.com.

  2. I just double checked to make sure I only have eight tags and one category. I also edited the order of the tags to be sure they were in alphabetical order. Is there anything else I can do.

  3. I'm sorry for re-queing this, but it's been thirteen hours and my issue has not been addressed or at least recognized.

I still can not see my posts under their topics. There are less then ten tags on the post. The post URL is: http://ourprocess.wordpress.com/2012/05/13/dick-cheney-evil-genius-1429-faces/

Is there something I can do to be sure my blog's posts will always be visible. If this is not my fault, what might be causing this?

  4. Hello there,
Please be aware that when you edit a post and remove tags or add them it will take time perhaps even a couple of days for that post to appear under the Topic pages assigned to the post and it will appear in order of its original datestamp.

Note that display of posts on the most popular Topics pages is randomized as there are so many being published each and every minute of the day.

I have been here for 6 years and I can say with confidence that my blogs have never received a significant flow of traffic from the Topics pages. The traffic received ahs been negligible at best. It's Google that sends significant traffic to blogs and Categories/Tags are not required for SEO purposes. Search engine spiders are focused on the keywords in content. Revisitng Keywords and Tags

  5. Okay, I appreciate that.

Thank you for letting me know. I suppose the only two exceptions I have to that statement are for 1) the tags where there is relatively low amounts of traffic/posts like political cartoons and editorial cartoons. I post to one of the two of these daily and there are only a couple of others posting to this topic and still my post is not showing. I find it odd that I would be randomizing myself off the topic if there are only a few people posting to it. 2) The number of views I am receiving are significantly lower on the days when one of my posts is not populating under a topic. This runs counter to your logic. If what you say is true, then the number of views I am receiving should statistically be the same weather or not the post is visible under a topic.

Thank you for the link for keywords and tags. I will go over it carefully, hopefully this will help me out.

  6. Will you please remove th inappropriate tags that have nothing whatsoever to do with the support topics in the thread from the sidebar of this thread?

  7. Done and done.

  8. Thanks.

  9. Thank you as well. I'll get back with you guys on this after I experiment a little.
