Previously deleted text that continues to appear on page

  1. I am seeking a solution to the following problem: text that I had entered into my home page (in the body, not the header) is continuing to appear after deletion. It is causing the header to shift to the right, out of alignment.

The blog I need help with is livingproductions.wordpress.com.

  2. The only text I see is the tagline, "Living Productions is the portfolio site for Duane Hartman, Jr." Is that what you are referring to?

If so, you need to delete it from your Dashboard>Settings>General>Tagline. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/general-settings/

  3. Also, here's what it says on the Hatch Theme Showcase page

    Custom Header

Hatch supports a flexible-height custom header image, which can be configured under Appearance -> Header.

The header image displays only on the home page, and its size depends on the presence of a welcome message in the theme options. If a welcome message is active, it will take up 66% of the content column, otherwise it will take up the full width of the content column.

So you will also want to check that the "welcome message" is not active.

  4. @drhartman91: If that text had been deleted it wouldn't show up. And it's not in the main body of the page (Jen: it's not the tagline either), it's in the special logo area of Hatch. Go to Appearance > Themes, click Customize (next to the theme thumbnail), click Theme Options, delete the text from the "Brief introduction" field, click Save&Publish.

  5. @justpi-yes, I realized that after I'd read the Theme's showcase page. :)
