I have looked at the FAQ regarding privacy settings, and none of the three options seem to fit what I'm looking for . Can someone help me figure out if what I want is possible? I am wanting to limit access to my blog to those people I choose - but they are not necessarily other wordpress.com users. Is there any way to limit access to friends and family via some type of password, whether they are current users or not?
The blog I need help with is adelightfulheritage.wordpress.com.
If the blog is set to private, then the visitors will have to get a wordpress.COM account (don't have to get a blog) and then you will have to add them as a user. That is how wordpress keeps track of who can access your blog.
You can password-protect every post if you want. You can even use the same password for each post. But really, it's easier to just tell them to register; it doesn't obligate them to do anything else but read your blog.
