Problem displaying animated GIFs in Blog post

    Hi,

I seem to have a problem with the display of my latest blog post - it contains a couple of animated GIFs, they are supposed to be on a loop.... Now if I view the page in Internet Explorer I get the images not displaying, just a box with a link, If I click the link one of the animations works but the other does not. If I open the blog with Chrome, one of the animations plays but does not loop and the other wont play at all. I Wonder if somebody could have a look for me? I have tried clearing the cache from IE and Chrome but this made no difference.

  2. Hey there -

Gifs have to be inserted at exactly the same size it was uploaded. If you use the software to you shrink it in any way, the animation will cease. I clicked on the two static images on your blog and the linked animated images are indeed larger.

I'm sure you shrunk the image in order to fit the width of the post. However, make sure the gif is no larger than the maximum width for your theme's post area. If it is, then re-size it on your computer before uploading it. Let me know if that works!

  3. Hello -
I have a related problem with gifs. I'm using the Zoren theme. I inserted a gif into my sidebar using the image widget and it displays fine - but it only plays once and I can't find anything to tell me how to loop it.

    Any advice appreciated!
