   I'm trying to embed this video http://www.tubechop.com/watch/911025 into my blog. I've used Tubechop as I only want the first 21 seconds not the full 3 minutes to be played.

   I've tried following a similar post I saw on here from another user and have tried the code:

   "[gigya src=" http://swf.tubechop.com/tubechop.swf " flashvars=" vurl=xkrlJB87AL8&start=0&end=21&cid=911025" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344”]"

   But I get this error message:

   "embed_shortcode: < / code> http://swf.tubechop.com/tubechop.swf < code > is not a valid URL"

   Can anyone help fix this?

   The blog I need help with is keenblogsscience.wordpress.com.

   You've got extra spaces around the URL and before the variables, and you've got the wrong quotation mark at the end. Shortcode should be:
   [gigya src="http://swf.tubechop.com/tubechop.swf" flashvars="vurl=xkrlJB87AL8&start=0&end=21&cid=911025" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344" ]

   I'm also trying to embed a tubechop video, and when I tried the fix above, I got the NEXT part of the long video! Any ideas? And can anyone recommend a blogging platform that is easier to use than wordpress? WordPress is for programmers, and that is not me! There must be something that normal folks can use?

   WordPress.com certainly isn't for programmers. Why don't you give us the URL of your blog, the URL of the video, and the actual code you tried to use? Then we can help you.

   This is the original embed code:

   I have lost the original tubechop url in all the confusion. I don't know how wordpress managed to play the next part of the original youtube video, when it wasn't part of the tubechop video.

   You see, I was hoping that I would not have to rewrite code in order to embed a video. I know nothing about writing code. That's what I meant by having to be a programmer. I'm hoping to find something that is easier for the non-techie--or perhaps someday wordpress will become less complicated. Seems like I should be able to just copy and paste an embed code without having to rewrite it.
