Problem with importing from Typepad

    I exported my Typepad blog into a .txt file and saved it on my pc. Then I logged into WordPress, went to Tools --> Import --> Chose the file --> Assign the author (only one showed up--me--so I chose that) --> hit Submit and after that I just got a blank screen where I would expect something to show up or happen. It's as if I did nothing as none of my Typepad posts are showing up on the WordPress blog. I have tried repeating this numerous times to the same results.

    How can I get my Typepad blog imported into this blog?

    The blog I need help with is stephanietu.wordpress.com.

    I wanted to add that I got a confirmation email from WordPress that the Moveable Type import was successful. Hmmm...not sure where the data went.

    Can you please tell us which browser (and version of) you're using?

    Hm, that shouldn't cause any problems.

    About how long did it take for you to receive the import success email after you started the import?

    Immediately after I hit Submit, the email came through.

    Hm, that's definitely a problem.

    Would you please try generating a new export file from Typepad?

    I did do a new export from typepad about 30 min ago and tried importing that new text file again and the same thing happened. Do you want me to try again since then?

    Yeah, try one more time, and for good measure, try another browser like Firefox or Chrome.

    I'm using Chrome but still no imported posts. I was informed that my posts should be under drafts but still no posts from my old blog. I will try with Firefox too.
