   Hello All

   I have been trying to insert a YouTube video on to my blog post. In the past, I would go to Upload/insert and then From Url to Audio and then copy and paste the YouTube link, inserting the rectangle brackets, and then I would insert it to my blog page.

   When i did this the full YouTube link code would appear on my blog page and then when I pressed Preview or Published the post- the video would appear on my page.

   Now the video does not appear and WordPress automatically cuts the YouTube code so it looks like this-

   http://myfashionslashlife.wordpress.com/2012/08/02/petite-fashion-how-to-take-style-from-day-to-night/

   However I want the video to show on my page, could you please tell me how to do this.

   You're doing it wrong.

   The most typical mistake made is that the URL is hyperlinked:

   Make sure the YouTube link is not hyperlinked. If the URL is shown in your theme’s link color (as the second line in the screenshot below), then it is hyperlinked. Simply select the whole URL and click the “Unlink” icon on your Visual Editor toolbar. http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#troubleshooting

   I prefer to use the shortcode as it's easier and it works every time.
