Problems with line breaks after publishing

Hi, I'm trying to sort line breaks in my posts. They are all written the same way, and in visual mode they all have line breaks. When I publish them, some of them bunch up instead of hold the formatting, but some don't. How can I ensure the line breaks remain in place?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is candidtraveller.com.

  2. It looks like you are copying and pasting from either another program or from the web and all sorts of gunk is coming in with the text. All the paragraphs where there are line break issues are wrapped in DIVs.

Open the post, select everything in the post and then from the "format" pulldown on the left end of the lower row of icons in the visual editor select "paragraph" and see if that straightens it out.

  3. Also, go to settings > writing and select "WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically" and then click "save changes."

    Hi there,

Thanks - you've just sorted it for me. It was the paragraph option in the drop down. I'm not copying and pasting, just writing direct, but I do vaguely remember messing around with settings to see what they all did. Guess I missed that change and didn't put it back.

    Outstanding...thank you very much!

  5. Glad it is sorted and you are welcome, and it might not be anything you did. Sometimes it just happens, but typically it happens more often on copy/pasting. I jumped to a conclusion (poor exercise that is).

    :-)
