Problems with page content on local site

  1. I am developing my website usibg WP on my local host for uploading later using MAMP. The other day for no apparent reason my WordPress site has developed a glitch? I can write pages and publish them. But only the page heading publishes - the content on the page doesn’t publish. The new pages that I write don’t show any content (even though there is content in the control panel). They also do not have the black control strip at the top for some reason?

I can add content to the original pages that I have written?

Has anyone any suggestions or views on this? I am using MAMP and the MySQL and APACHE SERVERS show a green light so they should be working ok? Could it be a database issue – or is it something more obvious?

If it helps - I'm using a template called Purity.

    Thanks guys.
