Problems with page content on local site

    I am developing my website usibg WP on my local host for uploading later using MAMP. The other day for no apparent reason my WordPress site has developed a glitch? I can write pages and publish them. But only the page heading publishes - the content on the page doesn’t publish. The new pages that I write don’t show any content (even though there is content in the control panel). They also do not have the black control strip at the top for some reason?

    I can add content to the original pages that I have written?

    Has anyone any suggestions or views on this? I am using MAMP and the MySQL and APACHE SERVERS show a green light so they should be working ok? Could it be a database issue – or is it something more obvious?

    If it helps - I'm using a template called Purity.

    We do not provide support for local installs of WordPress software here at WordPress.com. We provide support only for blogs rpovided by and being free hosted by WordPress.com. You must post here for support > http://wordpress.org/support/
