problems with twenty eleven mobile search and gallery

    Hi - I'm seeing some problems viewing my Twenty Eleven mobile site on my iPhone.

    1. Search button is overlapping text entry box. No way to edit or remove it. Can header search be removed from both mobile and full site?
    2. Gallery slideshow titles stack in narrow band rather than full length.
    3. Captions in gallery slideshow display continues outside edge of display.
    4. Why do some gallery images (in slideshow) show camera data (aperture, focal length, etc) and how to get rid of? Where is this data stored?
    I have screen shots but don't know how to attach them to this forum.

    Are you referring to the site linked to your username which we do not provide support for here? Or are you referring to http://gelber2000.wordpress.com/ ?

    Why do some gallery images (in slideshow) show camera data (aperture, focal length, etc) and how to get rid of? Where is this data stored?

    You can hide this by going to Settings > Media. Locate the heading "Image Gallery Carousel", and uncheck the box next to the "Show photo metadata (Exif) in carousel, when available" option.

    Thanks for posting the screenshots!

    The search box behavior is normal. It's designed to "collapse" in size as the screen grows smaller. You can hide it using the CSS, available with the Custom Design upgrade. if you get the upgrade, I'd be happy to help with the CSS.

    I will report the other issues to our team so that we can take a look.

    Hi Michiecat - thanks for looking into it. I guess you can call it "normal" that it is designed to collapse, but the fact remains that it doesn't work, so I guess it's not a very good design. It seems a little lame that I should have to pay special to remove a feature that doesn't work by design. Maybe your team can look into that also. Let me know what you come up with! Thanks. CG
