protect my blog

  1. Is it possible to protect my blog, so other people can only see it, when they have a password or something?

  2. Currently this is only possible by password protecting each post. It can't (I believe!) be done for the whole blog.

  3. Ok, but how can i protect some of my posts than?

  4. There should be a 'password' field on your post page, fill it in and it password-protects the post.

  5. Thanx!
Is it also possible to add users? So they get the password automatically and they can read the posts?

  6. Dumb question time:

Surely automatic registration and password receipt bypasses the need for the password in the first place?

Unfortunately, with the free blog that you have running here there's no way to offer a sign up option. You can do this with a self-hosted wordpress blog though...

  7. - Adding users is covered in the big red sticky at the top of the forum.

    - As to the password, unfortunely no. I have a feeling that a priovate forum may be better suited for what you are asking for as you can turn on and off access. What you asking for is against the whole point of a blog.

*chuckle* And Alazyknitter thought I was joking. :)

That's for writing and commenting on the blog. It's still readable though.

    Good luck,
