Protected Posts and Spammers...

  1. I recently posted a password protected post, and used a password that contained letters, numbers and symbols (so it'd be almost impossible to crack), and when I woke up this morning, I'd received a pingback comment where a spammer website has quoted the post in one of their posts. I guess what I want to know is, how were they able to do that since no one has that password? Should I be doing something besides just protecting the post?

I tried to go back to the spam site (something about plasma tv's (dot) info) but now it's not loading. I do have their IP, though...is this something that I could report them for?

  2. I believe you should approach staff directly by providing them with all your details in a support ticket. Support hours are weekdays 9-5 PM and here's the link http://wordpress.com/contact-support/
    HTH :)
