Publicize is not sending thumbnail images to Facebook; debug does not work

  1. example:http://glory-garden.com/blog/2013/03/how-to-make-a-bonfire-without-nasty-lighter-fluid

Many people are having this problem but all the threads are closed unresolved. My post shows up but without the featured image. I used the debug program that the FB developers suggested but nothing happened. How can I fix this problem in the future and retroactively?

The blog I need help with is glory-garden.com.

  2. The blog you specified at glory-garden.com does not appear to be hosted at WordPress.com.

    This is an automated message.

  3. Are you using the Jetpack plugin?

  4. yes and corrected I stand- I was supposed to be on wordpress.org. Tried the FB debug, tried the ad link to facebook plugin. Getting tired.

  5. Unfortunately, we have no control over the images that Facebook chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include. 6. Oh PIFFLE! You aren't asking about a WordPress.com blog.

Staff have requested that folks with Jetpack issues post their questions to the existing Jetpack forum at WordPress.org, since it would be easier to keep support focused in one place as much as possible: http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack

If you don't have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the correct support forums for your software.
