Publish button missing since upgrade

  1. I inherited a website at work that I didn't create. All was fine with basic updating to the site, until I went to upgrade to 3.0.1 and then subsequently attempted to create a new page. Although I am signed in as the Admin, the publish button is missing and it seems that all I can make is a draft. I've noticed that even on existing pages, the publish button is gone. Please help!

  2. Sorry, you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.

These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently and our answers typically will not work for you.

If you do not know the difference, see this support document: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ .

  3. i'm having a similar problem, but i am not using a self-hosted blog. i'm posting mine on wordpress.com and having this same issue

  4. The first thing to try anytime the dashboard goes wacky is to log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again.

  5. And PLEASE, PLEASE, don't post the same thing in multiple threads. It causes the volunteers here to run in circles, and that makes us cranky.

Did you do my second suggestion in the other thread? Did you report back to that thread?

  6. no, nothing you suggested worked. figured it out on my own and from something in another post.

so i know that i posted my own thread, and i apologize for making things difficult, but does that also mean i'm not allowed to comment on another persons thread, possibly to let that person know i can relate to their problem? i'm sorry for being difficult, i did not intend to be.
