I've done the same daft thing that everyone else seems to have done. I purchased the domain thereelwriting.com for the wrong blog - it needs to link to anikaablake.wordpress.com (notice the "a" between anika and blake, as there is a very similar blog), NOT aakuluk.wordpress.com. Do I need to refund this and repurchase?

You need to have the staff move the mapping for you. Don't cancel the domain - it can take up to 90 days for a domain name to revert to the wild.

Thanks macmanx, that's exactly right, but that doesn't seemed to have worked- does this take a few minutes? If I type in the web address it still goes to the other blog (aakuluk), and if I'm on the right blog (anikaablake) and hit home, it still takes me to aakuluk, and if I type in the domain, it again takes me to aakuluk. Please advise? Sorry for being such a bother.
Domain name changes can take up to 72 hours to propagate but rarely take that long. Please be patient while waiting.
It seems to be working properly for me.
You might need to clear your browser's cache: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
If not, it could still be propagating as timethief mentioned above.
