Putting Adsense on my Blog?

  1. Ok My blog is very new but has been receiving a high amount of traffic, I know that adsense earns you little money with a small blog but is it possiblt to put adsens on my blog and earn some money from it??

  2. Do a search for "adsense" in the FAQ. Not allowed here at wordpress.com.

  3. Are you allowed to do it on wordpress.org?

  4. When you're self-hosted you can do anything you wish.

  5. How do you become self hosted and how much is it? Is everything transferd for you i.e the posts, pages?

  6. ?.?.?.?.?

  7. Don't ask us: we're not self-hosted.

  8. Check out hostgator.com. I am self-hosted through them. It's not rocket science, they practically walk you through the entire process.

  9. There are some recommended hosts over at http://wordpress.org/hosting/ .

  10. Order a hosting plan. Download latest WordPress Blog at http://wordpress.org/download/, upload to your self-hosted, now you can do with Adsense code.

  11. I never have done it before

  12. I wish it were easier than having to have it on your blog than getting your own domain. I like the ".wordpress.com" tag.

  13. i can't do it

  14. Hi,get your own website hosted by a good website hostig company and then submit to adsense. Make sure there is a lot of content in your website. Then only they will accept it.

  15. ihi i am farly new and practically have no ttraffic so adsens iis surely what iam looking toward.i re3ally dont know how to run this blog with the affilliate programmes i want to go into.thanks.

  17. You cannot run affiliate programs or adsense at WordPress.com.

  18. WordPress want you to host yourself because they'll make more money from referring you to bluehost or dreamhost than they would from letting you have ads here. That official page hanni linked to is made up of affiliate links and they get a cut every time somebody buys hosting from there. It's not rocket science.

  19. Hard to say. I heard an informed guesstimate that WP.com makes maybe ten dollars a month on adsense on each WP.com blog. That's likely more money than they'd get through an affiliate deal, which is typically 15%.

  20. I read the complete discussion and agreed what they are saying. I do have a blog and I
have a page ranking 4, I am working hard for this for back linking.
My question is, If I host this blog to another hosting company not with wordpress. so I will be able to put some ads and banners.

My question is how we will redirect the traffics and also what about the PAGE RANK. Is there any way to keep the ranking of the blog.
Please advise guys I am in a tension. Dont have much time to research on it.
    Rana

  21. You can do anything you wish on a self-hosted blog. Your page rank will go to 0 when you change your url, whether it's by domain mapping or going to self-hosting. You will also lose your Technorati rank.

There are several threads here about moving to wordpress.org. Entering org in the searchbox should produce several.
