    hello,
    can anyone help me by giving me css code on how to manage to put sidebar (blocked)on right side of the esquire theme?
    thanks!
    d.

    The blog I need help with is thegoodmachinery.wordpress.com.

  2. We need a link to the site you are talking about.

    ops,i apologize.
    it is here
    http://thegoodmachinery.wordpress.com/

    i would like to move the side bar from bottom in corner right,
    thank you for any help.

  4. If this is the site you are talking about, http://thegoodmachinery.wordpress.com/ , first thing is go back to appearance > custom design and to the CSS tab and delete all the stuff you pasted into the CSS stylesheet editor and then click the save stylesheet button. Pasting the entire stylesheet into the editor will cause you all sorts of problems.

    Put only the specific selectors, and only the specific declarations that you are adding or changing and nothing else. Your additions will overwrite the original declarations.

    Also are you talking about moving the yellow block to the right, or the bottom "sidebar" below the posts?

    thank you!
    i'm talking about the bottom sidebar below the posts.
    i would like to put it on right corner up somehow.

  6. First off a couple things about this solution.

    Due to the way the CSS and the markup (XHTML) are done, the widgets are going to change position vertically in relation to the other elements in the page depending on whether someone is logged in or logged out of wordpress. In most themes this can be taken care of, but not in Esquire.

    Secondly moving the sidebar to the right of the content means that the site is now wider than a 1024px resolution monitor and that means people are going to have to scroll horizontally to see anything in our sidebar. Horizontal scrolling is one of the top 10 things people dislike on the web. I reduced the width of the sidebar from 320px to 200px to help compensate for this, but even so it is still an issue.

    #widgets {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
    margin-left: 950px;
    position: absolute;
    top: 20px;
    width: 200px;
    }

  8. You are welcome.

  9. Can somebody please help me move my poll to side bar just below the 'email subscription?'

  10. You have to add the poll shortcode to a text widget in your sidebar.

  11. Can somebody help me, I am also trying to get a sidebar up in my blog, hayleydibben.wordpress.com. The only options available to me are footers. Look forward to hearing form you.
    Thanks

  12. Your site is set to private which means we volunteers cannot see it. At the very least we need to know what theme you are using.

  13. while moving poll to side bar at the right bottom, I did copied and pasted poll shortcode to a text widget in side bar, it does shows up question but it do not show up option and the image at the background. Its in narrow size. but it shows up every thing perfect in the page.
