Hello,
I'm a php developer new to the wonderful world of wordpress.
I want to display some data from another database on a wordpress page.
Does anyone know of any tutorials - or can explain to me what the best way is to accomplish this?
It's just a simple query - I just need to display the records on a page.

That would most certainly not be possible here at the wordpress.COM free hosting service. We have some pretty tight restrictions on what we can and cannot do.
You need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ where the self-hosted version of wordpress is supported. I'm know it can be done with the self-hosted version. If you have confused about the difference between .COM and .ORG, read the "differences" sticky at the top of the main forum page.
