Quick Username change question

    Hi there volunteers, you're doing a great job
    I've checked the other questions relating to Username change and have read the support topics too.

    So if I read it correct, if I want to change my Username (not visible name, already done that) from "wildhairyhaggis" to either the name of my blog "likethesunshone" or my real name or something else and if I select this option Selecting “No matching blog address” will just change your username and leave the address of your blog alone. then my blog will stay the same, all content, blog posts, pages etc intact?

    The reason I ask is because of the wording No matching blog address, this makes it seem that the new username will not have a matching blog adress linked to it.

    I know I'm a bit thick in understanding this, but I'm grateful for your help.

    To further clarify (because I now realized the passage you put in bold came from that document) you may have to link your username to your blog, notably for these forums and any comments you leave on people's blogs moving forward. But other than that, you'll still have a blog that you can manage under your dashboard. It may take a couple of hours for the change to be effective (judging from previous threads).

    I think that has confused me even more now :-) Wouldn't the username already be linked once it's changed?

    Maybe or maybe not. I never changed username so I can't tell for sure.

    But in any case, it's easy to link it back. (Users > Personal Settings).
