   SOme of my friends who followed me here to my new blog can't see any of the posts that are protected. They can't see the password box at all. Ideas?

   which browsers and versions of them are they using?
   safari and opera don't work well with wordpress

   Nope they use firefox and they have a wordpress account themselves.

   and they can see other wp blogs...
