Reader/Sharing bug

  1. I shared some content last night from the wordpress reader. It did not share to my twitter or other social networks. Should my posts not share from the reader? If they arent supposed to I am going to stop using the reader as it contains less functionality than using Press This. I mean you cant even select a Category when you use the reader, better have your default setup just right and uh oh if you want to share it in another category from word press. Also by default Shared content through the reader opens in the same tab. CSS is not able to modify this at the moment so not allowing people to choose that is another roadblock. My site does not perform as I want due to this and you cannot change it in your posts.

  2. This page gives info on what you can do with the Reader:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/reader/

And no (sorry to disappoint you with a 'no' answer again) but the Reader here is very limited.

If you want to share posts with Twitter and other social networks, there are other ways. To integrate your blog with Facebook, please read this:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-integration/

To integrate with Twitter, read this:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/twitter/

To use sharing buttons for various other services, please read this:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/

It might help you to find the info you want more easily if you look at the Support documentation first:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/

and while I know you know your way around a website and coding (from your other thread in the ideas forum about reblog vs press this) you probably don't know all you could know about how to use WordPress.com, so here is where to find out about it:

  3. @absurdoldbird I spoke with a Happiness Engineer on IRC and this was actually a bug, he required I fill out a bug report and I noticed today that reblogging content is now being pushed to the social networks.

    Thank you for the information.
