   HI!
   I've acquired a domain name through wordpress and I've set up my blog using this domain name (say, myname.com).
   I've just had an outside vendor create a new website for me and would like to use this domain name (myname.com) as the address of my new site. It will be hosted elsewhere. Will need to change to the NameServers. That I know...

   I want to make sure I don't lose/delete my blog. Will I be able to use it as a stand-alone blog using myname.wordpress.com only?

   Would my supplier be able to embed my blog to my new website also? Any help would be welcome...

   The blog I need help with is charlesperreault.com.

   Yes.

   Technically no. If that's what you want, you want them to install WordPress.org software and then you export your blog from here and import it over there. Set this WP.com blog to Private. Otherwise, they can presumably put it in an iframe or just link to it from a tab in the header.
