An hour or so ago I received an alert to moderate a pingback. When I went to the site (merilynmonroe.wordpress.com) I saw that this person had copied all my posts, a pretty much word for word. It doesn't look like someone referencing my posts (no mention of me) but stealing them. When you click on her "about" section its different to mine. I don't know what to do. I am a new user and this is upsetting me. Please help.

Now ever her ABOUT section is the same as mine with my photograph. The process in the step-by-step looks like it will take a long time for any action :-(

I really don't know what motivates some people to become content thieves. You must contact Staff via a DMCA notice > http://automattic.com/dmca/
Since the splog (blog ripping off the content) is a WordPress.COM blog you might be able to just report the blog as Spam. Visit the blog in question and click on the name on the left side of the top nav bar to get the drop down menu and click on "Report as Spam" - anyway I would do that first while you work on the DMCA notice - I have seen a few copy blogs taken down that way.

That's been done by me with a link back to this thread. What needs to be done now is the DMCA notice.
Thank you Timethief, I have filled in the DMCA form and will wait and see now. It is almost 1 o'clock in the morning here and now I cant sleep.

I also will report it as Spam. Believe us, staff HATE those kinds of blogs and stamp them out with extreme prejudice. I've even seen bloggers banned for life from WP.com for that sort of thing.
On the plus side, your stuff must be good if she wants to steal it all.
