Receiving search terms related to child porn and worried

    I've noticed when checking my search term stats that I'm getting quit a few worrying entries like 'young children naked'.

    I think I'm getting these because I wrote an entry on sexualisation of children in the media, referencing a photographer who featured semi-naked children. I know that searching these terms doesn't necessarily mean that these individuals are engaging in illegal activity, but I find it worrying and wondered if there was something I should be doing, such as passing IP addresses on to a relevant authority (I'm not sure how I'd do this, but imagine it is possible).

    Would appreciate people's thoughts on this!

    Search terms are not illegal. And how do you know they are not as innocent as you were when you added the post in question? How do you know, for instance, they they are not from the police, checking for people posting such images? You have made it worse though because this thread will be indexed and you have 'child porn' in the title and Google may show it in search terms and then people can click your blog link.

    In fact many police officers use these search terms to apprehend criminals. However, this is not a WordPress.com support issue oer say and I have flagged this thread for closure, lest we have a flurry of opinions posted into it and the thread begins to be at the top of Google searches. Hopefully, others will not post into it now.
