Redirecting from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

  1. Hi there,

I hope you can help. I have searched support and forums but as I'm rather technically challenged, I hope someone can explain this to me in simple terms. I currently have a blog at greedyrosie.wordpress.com. I have transferred all my posts and attachments to greedyrosie.net (WORDPRESS.ORG) and now all I need to do is redirect my traffic (via a 301 redirect, if I understand properly). I read this guide (http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/redirecting-your-blog/) but cannot seem to ascertain what my name servers are. Is this the best way to go about doing it? Does anyone know of any easy walkthroughs (I'm sorry, but I am technically quite poor)

I've asked my web host if they can help me and they were very unhelpful. So, if anyone knows what I should do now, I would be very grateful.

    Thanks in advance

The blog I need help with is greedyrosie.wordpress.com.

  2. Although wordpress.COM does not have an actual redirect, you can use the domain mapping upgrade to redirect your blog with the trick that is described in this support document. It will do a 301 redirect to your new blog from your blog here.

  3. Your host should give you your name servers.

Or you can do a whois: http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois/?tool_id=66&token=&toolhandler_redirect=0&ip=greedyrosie.net
