   Yesterday I set up a wordpress.org site on my own server. How can I redirect my current wordpress.com readers over to my new self-hosted site which has a different domain name.

   There isn't any official way of redirecting. What I did was to make a final post on my .com blog explaining I had moved and giving a link to the new blog. It seemed to work for me pretty well.
