Had a look and couldn't find this.
Is there any way that I can get anyone who visits my blog http://aboygoesonajourney.wordpress.com to be redirected to my new domain htt://www.aboygoesonajourney.com? This is a self hosted site, so I'm not using the mapping feature in my wordpress.com.

it's not possible to my knowledge. the alternative would be to place the link to your new site in a post or a text widget on your sidebar.

- Get the domain mapping upgrade here and use the domain that you want as the new URL.
- Point the wp.com url to your new domain url at Dashboard -> Upgrades -> Domain
- Change the nameservers for your domain to point at your new site.
