Refund for wordpress.com so I can switch to wordpress.org

    After researching for countless hours, I unfortunately found out that wordpress.COM cannot add an external theme like wordpress.ORG can. I already bought the $100 upgrade before finding this out and would like a refund to switch to the other platform. I just bought the upgrade this morning.

    I already have hosting and a domain name at GoDaddy that I just recently pointed to my wordpress.COM account thinking this would fix the problem. Well... I was wrong and I still cannot add a theme. Can I "un"point my domain name from my WordPress.COM account so I can have it for my wordpress.ORG account?

    I'm so confused about all of this it's not even funny. I've even researched it and I'm still confused. There is NO free phone number to call and I have NO clue who to actually talk to about this. PLEASE any help would be amazing. After all this confusion, my website is currently down because I've been trying to get wordpress to work. Every second counts since I am losing clients every minute my website is not running.

    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.

    Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can request a refund yourself directly from the Store section of your Dashboard

    So I'm going to lose my domain name??? It says I have to cancel my domain name and I am not guaranteed I can ever use it again. That makes NO sense considering I didn't even buy it through WordPress.
