   I migrated my Blogger.com blog over to WordPress without any problems.

   However, I have some posts in Blogger.com that were previously published but subsequently saved as drafts.

   My questions are:

   1) What is the best way to move these posts over to WP? Should I publish them and reimport the entire blog into WP again?

   2) For that matter, will my existing WP posts be affected?

   3) And, further to that, will I get duplicate posts since I am reimporting content that is already on my WP blog?

   I'm assuming that you mean they were saved as drafts on WP.com's side? You're best bet would be just to edit them and change them to 'publish' status. Importing would probably not do a whole lot as if WordPress recognizes that the post is already here, it'll skip right over it so not to dupe it.

   No, those posts are saved as drafts on Blogger's side.

   OK, as I understand it, the importer will only import what is actually published at your blogger.com blog. It skims the posts which is why it changes the blogger template. For it to have access to the draft posts, it would need to have access to the backend which it does not have.

   I'm afraid you're going to have to copy and paste to get them over.

   You're right drmike [she said gnawing on her sandwich and watching for customers in the driveway]. I had to copy and paste all of my drafts to bring them over manually. A tip for atinyblip that may be useful is that when you do this pick a time of day when blogger isn't in high demand and then copy and paste them all into a file on your own computer. Getting a connection to WordPress anytime of the day or night or any day of the week is no problem at all. However, the same cannot be said of blogger which is pcworlds 'favorite' :p. It was my experience that blogger software is frequently hiccupping, coughing, choking or whatever you call it when everything screws up and you cannot do what you set time aside to do, and/or you cannot even make a connection to your blog.

   Perhaps their difficulties stem from having so many people hacking away and or customizing their templates with javascript or perhaps not, but it sure can be annoying.
