Reinstate wordpress address

  1. I accidentally deleted my blog - I thought I'd selected a blog I wasn't using, but it was my main blog, oops - but I've managed to find all my blog posts using the cache option in google.
However, now I've lost all my followers and my blog address.
Is there a way I can reinstate my blog address?
And if it can be reinstated, will I have all my followers back?
I am never deleting anything again!

    Blog address: http://girlbehindthescissors.wordpress.com

The blog I need help with is treblemakersderbyblog.wordpress.com.

  2. girlbehindthescissors.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.

It's not easy to delete a WordPress.com blog URL. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversiable. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

To be clear on this you cannot register a deleted URL. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

Note: Your followers subscribe to follow a specific blog URL. that URL is now history. When you register a new blog they will be able to subscribe to it.

You can set up email subscriptions here > Appearance > Widgets > Follow Blog Widgets by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/

If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts see here >
